Accounts Payable Clerk - $22/hour
Phoenix, AZ
This is a temporary, part-time position offering 20 hours per week . Training will take place in Phoenix, AZ, followed by remote work from home within Arizona .

Responsibilities

• Enter invoices into the Accounts Payable software module
• Process invoice payments, including checks and ACH payments
• Maintain the accounts payable register and ensure vendors are paid on time and according to payment terms
• Maintain an organized filing system for vendor invoice packages on the Finance shared drive
• Process 200+ invoices per month accurately and efficiently
• Maintain confidentiality and high ethical standards when handling financial information

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Accounting with 10–15 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training
• Experience with systems-supported accounting procedures
• Strong Microsoft Office 365 skills, including Excel and Word
• Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, PivotTables, and data analysis tools
• Experience with non-profit accounting is highly preferred
• Experience with the Abila MIP accounting system is preferred

Demands

• Must live in the Phoenix metro area
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Valid Arizona driver's license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation
• Driving record must meet the requirements of the council's business auto insurance carrier
• Must pass a background check
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive financial information
